Grid Foam Roller
The Grid Foam Roller is designed with the complete user experience in mind. This three dimensional surface has a variety of widths to simulate the feeling of a massage therapist’s hands.
- Three-dimensional surface allows tissue to aerate while you roll, promoting the flow of blood and oxygen—the nutrients needed to repair muscles
- Hard, hollow core hand-wrapped in EVA foam makes it firmer than traditional foam rollers
- Environmental design uses less foam than traditional foam rollers
- Compact and travel-friendly
Why use a Foam Roller?
In the past, elite athletes and professional therapists used foam rollers to engage in self-myofascial release (SMR) in order to relieve muscle tightness and aches. SMR can help reduce recovery time and allow for greater mobility.
In recent years, regular consumers have found that using a foam roller can also be effective for everyday use from aches and pain caused by exercise or poor posture. The bumps and grooves found on foam rollers can effectively engage soft tissue trigger points in the muscles in order to provide relief.
How do I use the Grid Foam Roller?
Using a foam roller is very easy. Firstly, identify the tight trigger points on your body which should feel tight. Next, simply position the target muscle area on top of the foam roller, use your body weight to apply some pressure, and hold for up to 30 seconds at that spot. Make sure your muscles are relaxed. You’ll feel some discomfort or pain which is normal.
A good place to start would be the lower and upper back as it’s common to have aching pain there due to poor posture. You should feel the tension release after doing. For best results, use daily.
