It’s late at night and you just can’t get to sleep. You’re missing that little something and your brain instinctively thinks about how awesome fast food taste and how you should really order it right now. You know deep down that it’s really unhealthy but you just can’t resist. A box of nuggets, large fries, and a large cup of soda later, you’re left feeling full…full of regret. You’re not alone. Food cravings are very common and some people even get them multiple times a day!
 
It’s commonly thought that food cravings are all in the head, and many think that it’s just a matter of whether you’re mentally strong enough to resist them. While food cravings can be caused by your brain’s need for emotional satisfaction such as relieving stress, experts have also suggested that it could also be physiological, meaning that your body could be lacking in something. In fact, it has been thought that food cravings of pregnant women could be their need for extra nutrients.
